If you are booking a “Making Day” please check the description. Each day can be booked as a stand alone event, or both can be booked to give you a fuller understanding of the different types of herbal remedies that it is possible to make at home.
Medicinal Herb Walk – Early Autumn
Date: Saturday, September 26th, 2026
Time: 10am-12 noon
Cost: £20 per person
Location: Kendal, Cumbria, UK (meeting point confirmed on booking)
Join me for an outdoor class on medicinal herbs. Over the course of the moring we will find and talk about various medicinal plants. We will look at their past and present uses, as well as ID skills. We only cover a short distance (less then 0.5 miles) on flat ground as we are mainly concerned with the plants! There will also be a herbal tasting at the end of the walk.
The walk will go ahead in all weathers, unless it is unsafe to do so. Please bring appropriate clothing, footwear and protection (umbrella, suncream, etc).
Herbal Remedies – Making Day (Internal Remedies)
Date: Friday, September 25th, 2026
Time: 10am-4pm
Cost: £95 per person

Internal remedies
The making side of herbal medicine is one of my favourite parts, there is an art and science to it, but above all – it is magical. For me, it’s where the alchemical process begins, where living plants are transformed into a form that we can take into our bodies for healing.
Join me, Suzi Richer, a medical herbalist, to explore the world of making herbal remedies and leave with some of remedies you have made and the knowledge to continue making in your own kitchen.
The day will cover the theory and practice of making three different types of herbal remedy, including a tincture and an aromatic water.
The cost includes all refreshments and lunch, basic notes and a small bottle of each of the remedies that you have made.
